THE TWO ROLES
Team Leader
The Team Leader supports daily operations and helps the team achieve its goals. Working closely with employees on the floor, the Team Leader plans activities, prioritizes tasks, allocates resources and makes sure operational objectives are met. The role combines leadership, coaching and problem-solving to support a safe, productive and positive work environment, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
Ideal candidate, according to Dollarama: a hands-on people leader who enjoys working closely with employees in a fast-paced operational environment, a strong communicator and coach who can motivate a team, solve problems, prioritize effectively and help employees succeed.
Supervisor
The Supervisor leads daily operations and makes sure processes are carried out successfully within their department. The Supervisor guides and develops Team Leaders and employees, manages priorities, monitors performance and implements action plans to achieve operational objectives. As part of a new distribution centre, the Supervisor also helps build a strong team culture while promoting safety, efficiency and continuous improvement.
