Jobifox – Job Openings from Canada’s Major Employers

Jobifox brings together job openings that large employers in Canada publish on their official careers websites, and explains them in plain English: what the job involves, where it is and how to apply. Every listing is checked on the employer’s website on the day we publish it, and we remove listings once they close. Applications are always made directly on the employer’s official site. Jobifox is not an employer or a recruitment agency, and it is free for job seekers.

For Costco and Tim Hortons, we list current openings that we have checked on the employer’s website. For Amazon, Walmart and Dollarama, our guides explain how each company hires, what its postings say about pay and benefits, and where to apply.

How These Employers Hire

  • Costco publishes one posting per role, together with the list of warehouses where that role is open. Its postings do not show a closing date or an hourly rate.
  • Tim Hortons restaurants post their openings location by location on the hiring platform linked from the official Tim Hortons careers site.
  • Amazon lists its warehouse and operations jobs on hiring.amazon.ca, with the shift and pay shown in each posting.
  • Walmart Canada states a minimum hourly rate in every store posting on careers.walmart.ca.
  • Dollarama describes three levels of store positions on its careers site: Store Associate, Team Leader and Store Manager.

What Jobs Pay in Canada

According to Statistics Canada, the median hourly wage for all employees in Canada was $30.77 in 2025. Pay varies a lot by type of job: the median was $18.00 for sales and service support jobs such as cashiers and store shelf stockers, $24.00 for helpers, labourers and transport drivers, and $37.00 for technical trades such as electricians and plumbers. Our salary guide has the full table by type of job and by province.

Where Jobs Are Easier to Find

Canada’s unemployment rate was 6.5% in September 2026, down from 7.0% a year earlier, according to Statistics Canada. Among metropolitan areas, the lowest rates were in Saguenay, Sherbrooke and Québec City in Quebec, Thunder Bay in Ontario and Kamloops in British Columbia. In the largest cities, unemployment fell over the year in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg. Our cities guide compares the main metropolitan areas and explains what to consider before moving for work.

Job Search Guides

Practical guides to help you apply with confidence, based on official sources such as Job Bank and Statistics Canada:

Before You Apply

  • Read the whole posting on the employer’s website: location, schedule, pay and requirements.
  • Adapt your resume to each job and make your availability clear.
  • Apply only on official websites. Real employers do not charge you to apply or to be hired.
  • Keep track of your applications and follow up politely if you do not hear back within about two weeks.

Stay Safe From Job Scams

The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre warns that fake job offers often promise high pay for little work, arrive by text message or social media for jobs you never applied for, or ask you to pay a deposit or move money through your bank account. Jobifox will never contact you with a job offer, ask for money or ask for your Social Insurance Number. If an offer seems too good to be true, check it on the employer’s official website first.

How Jobifox Works

  • Official sources only. Every listing is based on the employer’s own job posting.
  • Checked before publishing. We confirm that each opening is live on the employer’s website on the day we publish it, and we remove it when it closes.
  • No invented details. We only show pay or closing dates when the employer publishes them.
  • You apply on the employer’s site. Jobifox does not collect applications or resumes, and never asks for payment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Jobifox an employer or a recruitment agency?

No. Jobifox is an independent information website. We do not hire anyone, take part in hiring decisions or collect applications. We are not affiliated with the employers whose openings we describe.

Does it cost anything to use Jobifox?

No. Jobifox is free for job seekers and is funded by advertising.

How do I apply for a job I find here?

Each listing has a button that takes you to the employer’s official application page. You apply there, following the employer’s own process.

How do you know a job is still open?

We check every opening on the employer’s website on the day we publish it, review published listings regularly and remove them when they close. Employers can close a vacancy at any time, so always confirm the details on the official posting. If you find a closed listing, let us know through our contact page.

Why do some listings have no closing date?

Because the employer does not publish one. Costco, for example, keeps its postings open by role and location without a closing date. We never invent a date.

Can you tell me the status of my application?

No. Applications go directly to the employer, so only the employer can tell you about their status.
