ABOUT THE JOB
The Food Service Assistant supports daily operations in the Costco Food Court by preparing food items, serving members efficiently, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. This role involves working with kitchen equipment, handling transactions, restocking supplies, and ensuring a welcoming experience for members. Team members must follow strict health and sanitation guidelines while working in a fast-paced setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and assemble hot food items such as pizzas, hot dogs, and baked goods.
- Operate kitchen equipment including ovens and fryers following safety procedures.
- Process member transactions, handle payments, and provide accurate change.
- Restock ingredients and supplies in food preparation and service areas.
- Maintain a clean workspace by sanitizing surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
- Monitor food quality, temperatures, and product rotation to comply with health standards.
- Support beverage and dessert stations, including dispensing and refilling machines.
- Assist in maintaining dining areas by clearing tables and managing waste disposal.
