ABOUT THE JOB
As a Meat Assistant, you will wrap and label meat products using an automatic wrapping system, help stock display cases, and support production tasks such as operating a meat grinder. You’ll also keep work areas clean and sanitized while following food safety and operational procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wrap and label meat products using a wrapping machine and labeling equipment.
- Inspect and reassemble equipment that was sanitized previously and prepare it for daily use.
- Rotate product and maintain an organized meat display case.
- Move packaged product from racks to the wrapping station and place items into the automatic wrapping process.
- Set labeler settings based on product type and price, then print and apply labels accurately.
- Stock wrapped and labeled product into display cases safely and efficiently.
- Operate the meat grinder, monitor batch quality, and follow production standards for consistency.
- Clean and sanitize work areas throughout the day to comply with health code and temperature requirements.
- Perform basic routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Provide prompt, courteous member service and support other warehouse areas as needed.
