ABOUT THE JOB
The Service Deli Clerk supports daily operations within the deli department by preparing and packaging ready-to-serve meals, salads, and specialty items. This position involves working with commercial kitchen equipment, following standardized preparation procedures, and ensuring all products meet Costco’s quality and food safety standards. Team members play a key role in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and a positive shopping experience for members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and assemble deli products including salads, party trays, rotisserie items, and ready-to-bake meals.
- Cook and package food items following established recipes and department guidelines.
- Label and merchandise products accurately, ensuring freshness and rotation standards are maintained.
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment such as ovens and rotisserie units safely and efficiently.
- Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning work areas, utensils, and equipment according to health regulations.
- Monitor inventory and restock ingredients and supplies as needed.
- Provide courteous and professional member service at all times.
- Support other warehouse areas when required.
