ABOUT THE JOB
The Meat Cutter prepares and processes raw meat products using specialized equipment such as saws, grinders, tenderizers, and slicers. This role supports daily production targets, ensures proper product rotation, and maintains strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards. Attention to detail, safe equipment handling, and the ability to maintain consistent product quality are essential in this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cut, trim, and prepare meat products according to Costco quality specifications using band saws and other processing equipment.
- Operate and maintain grinders, slicers, and tenderizing machines while following safety procedures.
- Inspect, restock, and rotate meat displays to ensure freshness and proper inventory control.
- Transfer, wrap, and package products accurately for sale, maintaining consistent product presentation standards.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and work areas in compliance with health and sanitation requirements.
- Monitor storage temperatures and follow all food handling regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on department equipment.
- Provide courteous and professional service to Costco members.
- Assist in other warehouse departments when required.
