ABOUT THE JOB
As a Maintenance Assistant at Costco, you will help maintain cleanliness and general upkeep across designated facility areas, including floors, restrooms, workspaces, and exterior grounds when needed. The role involves janitorial tasks, light maintenance support, supply restocking, and safe operation of equipment such as compactors. This position is well suited to someone who is dependable, hands-on, and committed to safety, cleanliness, and operational support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean floors, restrooms, and work areas to maintain high housekeeping standards.
- Perform routine janitorial and facility upkeep, including spill response and waste removal.
- Operate trash and cardboard compactors while following safety procedures.
- Restock and monitor cleaning supplies for ongoing department needs.
- Assist with grounds maintenance, including outdoor cleanup and seasonal tasks when required.
- Support light building upkeep such as changing bulbs, washing surfaces, and basic repairs.
- Help maintain a safe and organized environment for employees, members, and suppliers.
- Provide courteous support and assist with additional maintenance-related duties as needed.
