ABOUT THE JOB
As a Food Service Assistant at Costco, you will help prepare and serve menu items in the food court while supporting smooth daily operations. The position includes food preparation, cash handling, restocking supplies, cleaning workstations, and ensuring that all service areas meet Costco’s standards for cleanliness, food safety, and member service. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and serve food items such as pizzas, hot dogs, baked products, desserts, and beverages.
- Assist customers at the counter, process payments, and help with order assembly and presentation.
- Handle cash register duties and follow department procedures for accurate cash handling.
- Restock ingredients and supplies from warehouse storage and keep service stations ready for use.
- Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, counters, utensils, floors, and dining spaces.
- Maintain condiment, self-serve, and beverage stations to support a positive member experience.
- Monitor and follow food safety and sanitation standards, including temperature checks and product rotation.
- Assist with additional food court or warehouse duties as needed.
