Costco is hiring an Audiologist / Hearing Instrument Practitioner in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This licensed clinical role focuses on hearing assessments, recommending and dispensing hearing aids, and delivering exceptional member service while following privacy and infection control standards.
ABOUT THE JOB
As an Audiologist / Hearing Instrument Practitioner at Costco, you will assess hearing needs, support members through testing and consultations, and provide dispensing services that include fitting, verification, and validation of hearing instruments. You will maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure care is delivered in accordance with provincial regulatory requirements and Costco’s service standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform hearing assessments for the purpose of dispensing hearing aids, including history taking and clinical testing.
- Provide hearing aid evaluations, recommendations, fittings, and follow-up services such as verification and validation.
- Complete tasks related to dispensing, including impression taking and basic repairs or modifications when required.
- Maintain privacy, confidentiality, and infection control standards at all times.
- Keep accurate records, documentation, and appropriate clinical files.
- Stay knowledgeable about hearing centre products and services to support informed recommendations.
- Deliver a consistently high level of member service, professionalism, and care.
- Assist with other warehouse areas as needed.
