Maintenance Team Associate – Walmart, Brampton, ON
Walmart Canada is hiring a Maintenance Team Associate at its store at 9455 Mississauga Rd in Brampton, ON. This is a regular, permanent hourly position on the team that keeps the store clean and safe for customers and associates, with a lot of the work done in the fresh food departments.
ABOUT THE JOB
According to Walmart’s posting, the Maintenance Team Associate takes part in a structured maintenance cleaning program while controlling expenses, to ensure a clean and safe shopping and working environment. Because much of the cleaning is done in the coolers, freezers and fresh food displays, the job also means following food safety rules and cold chain guidelines, the procedures that keep refrigerated and frozen food in good condition.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teamwork: communicate with the Stocking 3 Coach and work with the other associates on a complete cleaning routine.
- Food safety: comply with all food safety standards and cold chain guidelines.
- Fresh departments: clean all the fresh departments on time, including coolers, freezers and display fixtures.
- Equipment and supplies: help inspect all maintenance and cleaning equipment to make sure it works properly, and make sure there are enough supplies.
- Safety: promote a safe working environment by completing the required in-store certification programs and working according to all company policies and procedures.
- Floors: when required, clean floors by mopping, sweeping and vacuuming, and maintain carpets, including all the areas outside the sales floor.
SCHEDULE, PAY AND REQUIREMENTS
