About Jobifox
Jobifox is a free website that helps people in Canada find current job openings at large, well-known employers, such as Costco, Tim Hortons, Walmart, Dollarama and Amazon, and understand them before they apply. We also publish practical job search guides based on official sources such as Job Bank, Statistics Canada and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
Why Jobifox Exists
Applying to large employers can be confusing. Each company uses a different careers website and a different application process, and job postings are often long and full of internal terms. At the same time, the internet is full of “hiring now” ads that promise high pay and no experience, and some of them are scams. Jobifox was created to offer something simpler and more honest: clear summaries of real openings, a direct link to the employer’s official application page, and guides that explain how hiring works in Canada.
What We Publish
- Job listings. Each listing summarizes one opening that the employer has published on its official careers website: the role, the location, the main duties and requirements, and a direct button to the employer’s application page.
- Employer guides. How Costco, Tim Hortons, Amazon, Walmart and Dollarama hire in Canada, which roles are common and what their postings say about pay, schedules and benefits.
- Job search guides. Practical articles on resumes, interviews, job search websites, salaries, the best cities for work, and jobs for students, newcomers and beginners.
How We Check Job Listings
- We use the employer’s official job posting as our only source for each listing.
- We check that the opening is live on the employer’s website on the day we publish it.
- We include a closing date or pay information only when the employer provides it.
- We review published listings regularly and remove them once they close.
- We act on reports from visitors about closed listings or errors.
Our Editorial Principles
- Official sources. Listings come from employers’ own postings, and the figures in our guides come from public sources that we name on each page, with the date of the data.
- Nothing invented. If an employer does not publish the pay or a closing date, we do not estimate one.
- Plain English. We explain jobs and hiring processes in clear language, without exaggerated promises.
- Honest about limits. We say when something cannot be confirmed, and we point you to the official source for the final word.
- Safety first. We explain how to recognise job scams and never ask job seekers for money or personal documents.
Sources We Rely On
- The official careers websites of the employers we cover
- Job Bank, the Government of Canada’s employment service
- Statistics Canada, for wages and labour market data
- The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, for information about job scams
- Provincial employment services, such as WorkBC and Employment Ontario
What We Are Not
Jobifox is not an employer or a recruitment agency, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the companies whose openings we describe. We do not take part in hiring decisions, we do not collect applications or resumes, and we never charge job seekers. Applications are always made directly on the employer’s website.
How Jobifox Is Funded
Jobifox is free for job seekers and is funded by advertising shown through Google AdSense. Advertising does not affect which jobs we list or what our guides say. You can read more about advertising cookies in our Privacy Policy.
