Costco is hiring a Tire Installer to join the Tire Centre team in Gatineau, QC. In this hands-on role, you’ll support members by providing fast, accurate tire installation, balancing, repairs, and related services while maintaining a safe, efficient work area.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Tire Installer at Costco, you will service member vehicles by installing and rotating tires, balancing assemblies, and performing approved tire repairs. You’ll also support day-to-day Tire Centre operations, including organizing inventory, preparing service documentation, and assisting members with product questions and recommendations. Attention to detail and strict adherence to safety procedures are essential in this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, balance, and rotate tires according to Tire Centre standards.
- Inspect vehicles and note concerns on service documentation before beginning work.
- Operate hoists and tire equipment safely, including mounting and balancing machines.
- Perform approved tire repairs and follow industry and Costco procedures.
- Reset or relearn TPMS sensors using provided tools when required.
- Complete required safety checks (may include a torque check) and coordinate vehicle release steps.
- Fill tires to appropriate pressure (may include nitrogen fills when applicable).
- Assist members by answering questions and providing product guidance using sales and service standards.
- Create or support service invoices, process orders, and help handle payments when assigned.
- Stock, tag, and organize tires and related items to keep the area efficient and well presented.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area through regular cleaning and housekeeping.
- Support special orders, appointment staging, and communication with leadership regarding inventory and workflow.
- Assist with additional services offered in the Tire Centre area as required (services may vary by location).
- Help in other warehouse areas as necessary.
