Costco is hiring a Tire Centre Sales Assistant in Surrey, BC. In this customer-facing role, you’ll help members choose the right tires, support service appointments, and keep the Tire Centre running smoothly with accurate invoicing, merchandising, and safe daily operations.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Tire Centre Sales Assistant at Costco, you will assist members with tire purchases and related services by answering questions, providing product recommendations, and preparing service documentation. You’ll help organize tire inventory on the sales floor, coordinate booked appointments, and support the team with operational tasks that keep service moving efficiently.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, stays organized under pressure, and follows safety procedures and store guidelines at all times. In locations offering propane services, you may also assist with propane refills once properly certified.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist members in selecting tires by identifying needs, answering questions, and providing product recommendations.
- Handle phone inquiries, including incoming calls, member questions, and providing quotes when required.
- Support the appointment program by organizing and booking appointments and responding to emails according to procedures.
- Tag and organize special-order tires and manage booked orders at time of purchase.
- Create invoices for tire purchases and service work (install/repair) and complete documentation accurately.
- Load appointment tires and transfer them to the appropriate staging area to support efficient workflow.
- Process payments, issue receipts, and submit paperwork according to proper procedures.
- Calculate refunds for warranty returns and support order adjustments when needed.
- Coordinate with the Tire Centre team and internal departments regarding special orders, pricing, delivery, and merchandise status.
- Stock and organize tires on the sales floor following the Tire Centre merchandising plan.
- Assist with moving member vehicles into the service bay and parking vehicles after service, when required.
- Support station/shop operations as needed and keep the area clean through sweeping, mopping, and wiping.
- May assist with propane refills/purchases once certified, following all safety guidelines.
- Assist in other warehouse areas as necessary.
