ABOUT THE JOB
The Pharmacy Student position at Costco supports the pharmacy team with daily operations while gaining real-world pharmacy experience. Students assist with prescription preparation, patient interactions, and administrative pharmacy tasks while working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
This role provides exposure to pharmacy workflow, medication handling procedures, and patient care practices. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist pharmacy staff with prescription data entry and medication preparation.
- Retrieve medications, count tablets, label prescriptions, and package medications under pharmacist supervision.
- Provide courteous assistance to patients at the pharmacy counter.
- Answer phone calls and direct members to appropriate pharmacy services.
- Collect and input patient prescription information into pharmacy software systems.
- Process pharmacy transactions and support register operations when required.
- Maintain accurate patient records while following privacy and confidentiality policies.
- Support medication review services and pharmacy health promotion programs.
- Help maintain pharmacy inventory by stocking medications and supplies.
