Costco is hiring an Order Picker to support Business Centre operations in Quebec City. In this hands-on role, you’ll help prepare high-volume orders by accurately picking products, moving pallets, and keeping the workflow safe, organized, and efficient.
ABOUT THE JOB
As an Order Picker, you will pull merchandise from stock to build Business Centre orders and prepare them for delivery. You’ll use equipment such as a manual pallet jack, work with pick tickets and scanning tools, and ensure items are selected in the correct quantity and in good condition. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys active work, follows procedures carefully, and contributes to a safety-first warehouse environment. For roles in Quebec locations, the ability to communicate in French (oral and written) is typically required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow picking procedures and complete required paperwork accurately.
- Pick and assemble orders by selecting items from floor stock and verifying correct quantities.
- Use a wearable scanner to scan pick tickets, record picks, and note substitutions or out-of-stock items when applicable.
- Operate a manual pallet jack to move pallets, stage completed orders, and support loading for delivery.
- Inspect pallet jacks and pallets, tagging defects and using proper lifting and handling techniques.
- Coordinate with forklift operators when needed and help maintain a safe work area.
- Transfer completed orders to designated areas (e.g., audit/staging) and assist with delivery preparation.
- Support other areas of the Business Centre or picking department as needed.
