Costco Wholesale is hiring an Optical Student in Vaughan, Ontario. This position supports the warehouse optical department by helping members select eyewear, processing purchases, assisting with frame fittings, and maintaining organized optical inventory. ABOUT THE JOB
The Optical Student role at Costco supports the daily operations of the warehouse optical department. Team members help customers choose frames and lenses, assist with eyewear adjustments, process transactions, and maintain the department’s inventory and cleanliness.
This role may also involve assisting licensed Optical staff with preparing eyewear orders, stocking merchandise, and ensuring all equipment and displays are organized and ready for members. The position requires a strong focus on customer service, attention to detail, and teamwork within a fast-paced retail environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist members in selecting eyeglass frames and lens options while providing friendly and professional service.
- Process purchases by ringing up optical orders and merchandise using the warehouse point-of-sale system.
- Help with frame fitting and adjustments for members picking up completed eyewear orders.
- Support the optical department by stocking frames, supplies, and optical merchandise.
- Maintain accurate records by entering orders and inventory information into internal systems.
- Ensure the department remains clean and organized through regular cleaning, restocking, and maintenance.
- Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines within the optical department.
- Assist in other warehouse areas when required to support overall store operations.
