ABOUT THE JOB
The Optical Student assists members in selecting eyeglass frames and lens options while delivering prompt and courteous service. Working under supervision, this role supports the department with order processing, eyewear adjustments, merchandising, and general department maintenance.
This opportunity is ideal for students currently registered in a recognized optical program who are seeking practical experience in a professional retail healthcare setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist members with frame and lens selection, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Process transactions accurately, including cash handling and electronic payments.
- Fit and adjust eyeglasses using appropriate tools and equipment where permitted by provincial guidelines.
- Stock and organize merchandise, supplies, and product displays.
- Maintain cleanliness of the department, including sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal.
- Enter and manage orders using internal systems while following safety and operational procedures.
- Support other warehouse areas as needed.
