ABOUT THE JOB
As a Meat Associate, you will help maintain daily operations in the meat area by ensuring merchandise is organized, accurately priced, and ready for customers. You’ll follow food safety and cold chain procedures, assist with customer requests, and support department standards related to cleanliness, product handling, and rotation. This role suits someone detail-oriented who works well in a team and values safety and quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Zone and maintain the meat department to keep displays clean, organized, and customer-ready.
- Rotate products and monitor sell-by and expiration dates to support freshness and quality.
- Ensure items are properly signed, labeled, and priced.
- Follow food safety guidelines, including temperature checks and cold chain compliance.
- Support ordering, markdowns, and pricing updates following store procedures.
- Assist with deli/meat counter needs by preparing and handling merchandise safely and providing requested help to customers.
- Prepare and package selected items using appropriate tools and equipment when required.
- Follow Health & Safety standards and maintain a clean work area throughout the shift.
