ABOUT THE JOB
As a Meat Assistant at Costco, you will help prepare meat products for sale by operating wrapping machines, applying accurate labels, and ensuring display cases are fully stocked and properly rotated. You will follow department production procedures to maintain quality and consistency while keeping work areas clean and compliant with health and safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wrap and label meat products using department equipment and approved procedures.
- Stock and rotate products in display cases to maintain freshness and quality.
- Operate department equipment such as wrapping machines and meat grinders safely.
- Inspect and reassemble equipment as needed to ensure proper sanitation and operation.
- Monitor and maintain food safety standards, including sanitation and temperature controls.
- Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance of equipment and work areas.
- Assist with restocking supplies and supporting daily production needs.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service.
- Support other warehouse areas as required.
