ABOUT THE JOB
As a Loss Prevention Clerk at Costco, you will support store safety and security by monitoring for potential risks, observing activity on the sales floor and perimeter, and documenting incidents accurately. You may assist with internal and external loss investigations, help maintain evidence and report files, and collaborate with warehouse leadership and relevant partners when needed. This position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a calm, professional approach.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor the warehouse and perimeter to identify safety and security concerns.
- Observe and report potential theft, shrink, and policy violations following procedures.
- Assist with investigations, including documentation and incident reporting.
- Support the proper handling and maintenance of evidence and report files.
- Communicate findings and concerns to warehouse leadership and loss prevention management.
- Help identify opportunities to reduce shrink and improve loss prevention processes.
- Participate in meetings and training to maintain knowledge of applicable procedures and laws.
- Work collaboratively with other Costco loss prevention teams to share information on local trends and risks.
- Assist in other warehouse areas as necessary.
