Walmart is hiring a Grocery Department Manager in Quebec City. In this role, you’ll lead daily operations on the grocery salesfloor, support a team of associates, and help ensure a well-zoned, well-stocked, and customer-ready department while delivering strong customer service.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Grocery Department Manager at Walmart, you will coordinate the activities of associates to complete key floor tasks and maintain a clean, safe, and organized shopping environment. You’ll help manage priorities based on workload and customer traffic, support merchandising execution, and act as a lead on the team by providing guidance, coverage, and coaching to associates throughout the day.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver excellent customer service by greeting customers, helping locate merchandise, and responding to concerns appropriately.
- Coordinate and support associates to complete salesfloor activities, including recovery, zoning, and maintaining product availability.
- Delegate and follow up on section work, capping bins, and stocking picks to improve customer availability.
- Support execution of price changes and feature setups as assigned.
- Ensure assigned areas are completed accurately, including modular integrity and presentation standards.
- Provide coverage on the salesfloor as needed and assist with workload prioritization during peak times.
- Promote a safe and hazard-free environment by following company policies and completing required safety checks and logs.
- Help ensure associate breaks are taken appropriately while maintaining department coverage.
- Provide training, coaching, and feedback to associates to support performance and service standards.
