ABOUT THE JOB
As a Food Service Assistant in Costco’s Food Court, you will support day-to-day food operations by preparing menu items, handling orders, and maintaining high standards for food safety and cleanliness. You’ll work with food production equipment, restock ingredients, and ensure members receive accurate and timely service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and serve hot food items (such as pizza and hot dogs) following established procedures.
- Operate basic kitchen equipment (may include ovens, warmers, and fryers) safely and efficiently.
- Process orders by ringing up sales, handling cash, and making change according to cash-handling standards.
- Assemble and present orders to members using proper food handling practices.
- Dispense drinks and dessert items; clean and refill dispensing machines as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, workstations, utensils, and counters throughout the shift.
- Clean and sanitize the dining area, including tables, floors, and trash removal.
- Restock ingredients and supplies from the warehouse; rotate products and monitor freshness.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including sanitation, temperature control, and product rotation.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
