Costco is hiring an Electronics/Majors Sales Assistant in Kitchener, ON. In this customer-facing role, you’ll support members on the sales floor by answering questions, demonstrating products, and keeping the electronics, major appliances, and jewelry areas well-stocked, organized, and ready for a great shopping experience.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Electronics/Majors Sales Assistant helps drive an excellent member experience by providing knowledgeable, friendly support in high-value departments such as electronics and major appliances. You’ll assist with product demonstrations, explain key features, and help members find the right items for their needs.
This position also supports daily merchandising standards by maintaining product displays, ensuring accurate signage, organizing locked-up items, and coordinating with the team to keep inventory levels strong and the sales floor tidy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver prompt and courteous member service by answering questions and assisting with purchases.
- Demonstrate products and explain features, functions, and specifications.
- Help members load larger items into carts when needed.
- Stay current on technology and product trends by reviewing industry materials and product reviews.
- Communicate with the Area Manager regarding inventory levels, pricing, delivery, and promotions.
- Maintain merchandising standards: set up, clean, and upkeep product displays.
- Align and face merchandise, return stray items, and restock to maintain high product availability.
- Check product signage and tags for accuracy and report issues when identified.
- Participate in merchandise moves and support stocking activities, including coordinating with forklift drivers as needed.
- Organize and manage security item lock-up areas and keep the department clean and safe.
