ABOUT THE JOB
As a Deli Associate at Walmart, you will help keep the deli department organized, well-stocked, and ready to serve customers. You’ll support daily operations by following cold chain compliance, rotating product, checking dates, preparing deli items, and keeping displays clean and correctly priced. This position also involves assisting customers with product requests and contributing to a safe, welcoming store environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Zone and maintain the deli department to keep it clean, organized, and customer-ready.
- Rotate stock and check for expired products, sell-by dates, and proper product condition.
- Ensure merchandise is correctly signed and priced according to store standards.
- Follow food handling and cold chain procedures, including temperature checks and safe storage.
- Prepare and handle deli items, including slicing and packaging products when required.
- Support deli production tasks such as preparing ready-to-serve items and filling displays as needed.
- Assist customers with questions, special requests, and product selection in the deli area.
- Help maintain a safe work environment by keeping the area free of debris, spills, and hazards.
- Provide support to other store areas when needed to ensure smooth operations.
