ABOUT THE JOB
The Cosmetics Associate plays an important role in Walmart’s beauty and personal care department. In this position, you will help customers find the right products, answer questions about cosmetics and skincare items, and maintain a well-organized and appealing salesfloor.
This role combines customer interaction, merchandising support, and inventory handling. Associates contribute to a positive shopping experience by ensuring shelves are stocked, products are correctly displayed, and customers receive friendly and helpful service throughout their visit.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to shoppers in the cosmetics department.
- Assist customers by locating products, explaining features, and helping with purchase decisions.
- Maintain the department by stocking and rotating merchandise and removing damaged or outdated items.
- Set up and maintain product displays, pricing labels, and signage according to store standards.
- Handle returns, claims, and merchandise processing while following company procedures.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe salesfloor environment for customers and associates.
- Receive and process incoming products using appropriate inventory and stocking procedures.
- Direct customers to appropriate service desks or departments when additional assistance is needed.
- Support merchandising tasks such as modular resets, shelf adjustments, and stocking activities.
