ABOUT THE JOB
The Cashier Assistant position at Costco is essential to keeping checkout operations running smoothly. You will help members load purchases, pack items efficiently, retrieve carts, and support cashiers during busy periods, all while following safety, cleanliness, and service standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet members and assist with loading items onto the conveyor belt.
- Pack member purchases into boxes and transfer items to carts efficiently.
- Support cashiers by keeping checkout lines moving smoothly.
- Retrieve carts and flatbeds from the parking area using approved procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the register area and front-end spaces.
- Restock merchandise, boxes, and register supplies as needed.
- Assist with spills, trip hazards, and general front-end safety.
- Operate equipment such as cardboard balers or trash compactors when required.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service at all times.
- Support other warehouse tasks as needed.
