KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the quality and presentation of bakery merchandise, including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
- Help keep the bakery department fully stocked and ready for business.
- Verify that products are properly labelled and priced throughout the department.
- Follow cold chain compliance procedures, including temperature checks and proper food storage.
- Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and cleaning standards during all food handling tasks.
- Support store procedures such as ordering, markdowns, clearance, and product labeling.
- Prepare bakery items by following thawing and baking guidelines to maintain product quality.
- Ensure displays and equipment are secure, clean, and properly organized.
- Assist with product rotation and monitor expiration and sell-by dates.
- Support customers by maintaining a well-organized and welcoming bakery area.
