ABOUT THE JOB
As a Baker at Costco, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a wide range of bakery products using Costco-approved formulas and procedures. The role involves operating industrial bakery equipment, monitoring baking processes, and ensuring all products meet established food safety and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and bake high-volume bakery items following Costco formulas.
- Measure, assemble, and mix ingredients, adjusting formulas when required.
- Operate industrial bakery equipment such as power mixers, dough rollers, and depositors.
- Monitor ovens, baking times, and temperatures to ensure product quality.
- Shape, roll, and process dough for breads and pastries, including proofing.
- Remove baked goods from ovens and transfer them to cooling racks at appropriate times.
- Maintain sanitation, food safety, and temperature controls in compliance with health regulations.
- Follow department production standards for consistency and quality.
- Provide courteous member service when required.
- Support other bakery or warehouse duties as needed.
