ABOUT THE JOB
The Audiologist is responsible for assessing hearing health, recommending suitable hearing instruments, and providing full dispensing services in accordance with provincial regulations. This includes evaluating hearing thresholds, conducting speech testing, and ensuring accurate fitting, verification, and validation of hearing aids.
The position also involves maintaining detailed documentation, upholding strict infection control and confidentiality standards, and collaborating with support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations within the warehouse setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments, including air and bone conduction testing and speech evaluations.
- Recommend and dispense hearing aids based on individual member needs.
- Perform fittings, adjustments, validation, and performance verification of hearing instruments.
- Take ear impressions and provide minor repairs or modifications where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and complete clinical documentation and records.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, privacy, and professional practice standards.
- Provide outstanding member service and clear counselling on hearing care solutions.
- Collaborate with support personnel to coordinate workflow and maintain operational efficiency.
