ABOUT THE JOB
As an Asset Protection Associate at Walmart, you’ll focus on protecting people, property, and merchandise by following established loss prevention processes. You’ll complete regular patrols, verify that entrances and security features are working properly, and help reduce financial loss through observation, reporting, and case support. This position requires professionalism, sound judgment, and strong communication skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct daily store patrols to help ensure doors, showcases, and security controls are secure and functioning properly.
- Support loss prevention efforts by identifying potential risks and responding appropriately to incidents.
- Assist with investigations related to financial and physical shrink, documenting findings and escalating as required.
- Communicate investigation outcomes to store leadership and follow internal reporting procedures.
- Support emergency and evacuation procedures in cases such as fire or other urgent situations.
- Participate in assigned store task team responsibilities as needed.
- Help address concerns related to internal theft/dishonesty and external retail crime, following company policies and ethics guidelines.
- Share information clearly with different teams and stakeholders, adapting communication based on the situation.
