Walmart is currently hiring an experienced Asset Protection Associate to join its team in Kitchener, Ontario. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe and secure retail environment for customers, associates, and visitors while supporting loss prevention initiatives and store operations.
ABOUT THE JOB
As an Asset Protection Associate at Walmart, you will help protect company assets by preventing loss, monitoring store security, and supporting investigations related to shrink and safety incidents. This position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to act professionally in a variety of situations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct regular store patrols to ensure doors, showcases, and security systems are functioning properly.
- Monitor and respond to loss prevention incidents, including internal and external theft.
- Carry out external apprehensions when required, following company policies.
- Support investigations related to shrink, organized retail crime, and internal cases.
- Communicate findings clearly to store leadership and loss prevention management.
- Assist with emergency procedures, including store evacuations when necessary.
- Collaborate with store teams and participate in assigned store task responsibilities.
