ABOUT THE JOB
The Service Deli Clerk helps keep the deli department running smoothly by preparing ready-to-sell items, packaging products, and supporting daily production needs. This role includes food preparation, cleaning, stocking, and following established quality, sanitation, and safety procedures. It is a good fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced retail food environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and assemble deli items such as meals, salads, party trays, pizzas, and rotisserie products.
- Slice vegetables, portion ingredients, and help create finished products according to department standards.
- Cook and prepare selected hot food items using commercial ovens and rotisserie equipment.
- Package, wrap, weigh, and label food products with attention to presentation and accuracy.
- Stock displays and rotate merchandise to help maintain freshness and product quality.
- Clean equipment, workstations, drains, sinks, floors, and other deli areas using approved sanitizing procedures.
- Record production information, complete temperature and sanitation logs, and support inventory awareness.
- Provide courteous member service and assist in other department tasks as needed.
