ABOUT THE JOB
The Service Deli Clerk position at Costco focuses on preparing deli products such as meals, salads, party trays, rotisserie chicken, ribs, and take-and-bake pizzas. Team members help ensure food items are prepared, packaged, labeled, and displayed according to company quality and safety standards.
This role also involves cleaning equipment, monitoring product freshness, rotating stock, and following sanitation procedures throughout the shift. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and committed to providing safe, high-quality food service in a busy warehouse setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, package, and label deli meals, salads, party trays, and ready-to-cook items.
- Cook and assemble products such as rotisserie chicken, ribs, pizzas, and prepared entrees.
- Slice vegetables and ingredients for salads, garnishes, and other deli items.
- Monitor product quality, rotate stock, and check pull dates and freshness standards.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health code procedures during preparation and cleanup.
- Clean deli equipment, sinks, prep areas, and tools using approved sanitizing methods.
- Restock ingredients, packaging supplies, and department materials as needed.
- Record production, temperatures, and sanitation tasks according to department procedures.
- Dispose of waste properly and maintain a clean, organized deli work area.
- Provide courteous member service and assist in other department tasks when required.
