This position plays an important role in the warehouse tire centre, helping members with tire installation, balancing, repairs, and service support. ABOUT THE JOB
The Tire Installer position at Costco focuses on providing efficient and safe tire services to warehouse members. Team members install, rotate, and repair tires while ensuring all work meets industry and safety standards. This role also involves supporting the tire sales area, assisting members with recommendations, and maintaining an organized workspace.
The role requires attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent member service. Tire Installers also support inventory organization and help maintain service equipment and tools used throughout the tire centre.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, balance, rotate, and repair vehicle tires according to industry standards.
- Operate tire mounting and balancing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect vehicles and identify potential issues during tire service operations.
- Assist members with tire purchases by providing product recommendations and service guidance.
- Reset or service TPMS sensors when required.
- Follow established procedures for vehicle lifting, installation, and safety checks.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and help create purchase and service invoices.
- Keep the tire centre clean by performing tasks such as sweeping, organizing inventory, and maintaining tools.
- Support tire inventory management by tagging, stocking, and organizing tires in the service area.
- Assist members at pickup and ensure vehicles are returned safely after service.
