ABOUT THE JOB
The Pharmacy Student position at Costco allows students enrolled in an approved pharmacy program to develop real-world pharmacy skills under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Students assist with prescription processing, medication preparation, and pharmacy workflow while maintaining strict compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
In this role, pharmacy students also help support pharmacy services such as medication reviews, patient assistance at the counter, and inventory management. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with prescription data entry and processing under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Retrieve medications, prepare prescriptions, and support safe medication dispensing procedures.
- Answer pharmacy phone calls and help direct members to appropriate services or product locations.
- Assist patients at the pharmacy counter by managing prescription pickup and general inquiries.
- Support pharmacists in gathering information required for medication reviews and patient care services.
- Help maintain pharmacy inventory by stocking medications, supplies, and over-the-counter products.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies, patient confidentiality standards, and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspace.
- Participate in pharmacy health promotion initiatives and assist with operational projects when required.
- Provide assistance in other warehouse areas when needed.
