ABOUT THE JOB
The Bakery Wrapper at Costco helps prepare bakery products for sale by wrapping, labeling, and organizing baked goods in the warehouse bakery area in Winnipeg. This role is important in maintaining product quality, freshness, and presentation standards throughout the department.
Employees in this role handle finished bakery items, package them for display, rotate stock, and monitor dates to support proper food safety practices. The position also includes helping members, keeping work areas clean, and assisting with other bakery tasks as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wrap, package, and label bakery products according to Costco procedures and quality standards.
- Garnish finished items and apply icing, glaze, or other finishing touches when required.
- Assemble packaging materials and prepare products for display and sale.
- Check product weights and label information to help ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Stock bakery displays and rotate products while monitoring freshness and pull dates.
- Move bakery items using carts or racks and help maintain an organized production area.
- Provide courteous member service and direct customers to bakery items when needed.
- Keep wrapping and sales areas clean, safe, and free of debris.
- Assist with other bakery or warehouse duties as required.
