ABOUT THE JOB
The Registered Pharmacy Technician at Costco works as part of the pharmacy team to help manage prescriptions, maintain patient records, and ensure medications are prepared accurately and safely. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist patients at the pharmacy counter and provide courteous customer service.
- Receive prescriptions and support the preparation and dispensing of medications under pharmacist supervision.
- Count, label, and package prescription medications according to pharmacy procedures.
- Process pharmacy transactions and insurance claims using computerized systems.
- Maintain and update patient records and prescription information accurately.
- Manage pharmacy inventory by ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
- Ensure prescriptions meet regulatory and safety standards before dispensing.
- Assist with third-party billing, invoices, and pharmacy documentation.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace.
- Support pharmacists with daily workflow and operational tasks.
