Walmart is hiring a Produce Stocker in Longueuil, Quebec. In this role, you will help keep the produce department organized, well-stocked, and ready for customers by following proper food safety, rotation, and cold chain standards while delivering excellent service on the sales floor.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Produce Stocker supports daily operations in the produce area by stocking fresh products, maintaining clean and attractive displays, and ensuring items are correctly signed and priced. This position plays a key part in delivering a great shopping experience by keeping the department organized and ensuring products are available throughout the day.
You will follow established procedures related to product rotation, quality checks, food handling, and temperature monitoring. The role also includes maintaining a safe work environment and supporting store standards for cleanliness and presentation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and “zone” the produce department to keep it clean, organized, and customer-ready.
- Stock fresh items and rotate product to support quality and freshness.
- Check for expired or damaged items and complete quality inspections as needed.
- Ensure merchandise is properly signed, priced, and labeled.
- Follow cold chain compliance practices, including temperature checks and safe handling procedures.
- Use correct processes for ordering, markdowns, and stocking routines when applicable.
- Keep the department fully stocked and ready for business throughout the shift.
- Follow health and safety guidelines and maintain a hazard-free work area.
- Support modular updates and merchandise presentation tasks as required.
