Walmart is hiring a Claims Associate in Laval, Quebec. In this role, you’ll help manage damaged, returned, and recalled merchandise while supporting inventory accuracy, shrink reduction, and a safe, organized claims area.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Claims Associate, you will be responsible for processing and controlling merchandise through Walmart’s claims and returns procedures. You’ll work with vendor partners and store teams to ensure items are handled correctly, documentation is completed, and processes follow company policies.
This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with procedures, paperwork, and store systems to protect assets and support a smooth sales floor operation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support shrink prevention by scanning and managing damaged or stolen items in a timely manner.
- Process and manage vendor and customer returns, including RA paperwork, recalls, packing, and shipping tasks.
- Handle operational programs such as SORT and donation merchandise according to guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized claims area, following proper lifting and safety practices.
- Monitor returns flowing through claims to protect assets and help minimize chargebacks.
- Stay up to date on company policies and ensure store programs and systems are followed consistently.
- Keep claims current and ensure required forms are completed for eligible claims.
- Complete assigned customer service initiatives such as the GM CVP (Customer Value Program).
- Provide support to related store roles when required, such as Office Support or Direct Store Delivery support.
