ABOUT THE JOB
As a Pharmacy Clerk Certified, you will work closely with the pharmacist to support daily pharmacy operations. Responsibilities include assisting members at the counter, processing transactions, preparing prescriptions within regulatory guidelines, and maintaining accurate patient and inventory records. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and compliance with provincial pharmacy regulations and safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist members at the pharmacy counter and provide courteous customer service.
- Receive and retrieve prescriptions for the pharmacist and process register transactions.
- Support prescription preparation activities such as counting, labeling, and organizing medications under supervision.
- Maintain and update patient profiles and pharmacy records using computerized systems.
- Order and stock prescription drugs, supplies, and over-the-counter merchandise.
- Process invoices, insurance claims, and required accounting entries.
- Follow safety, security, and confidentiality procedures at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness of the department and assist with general warehouse tasks as needed.
