Costco is hiring an Optical Student in Brampton, Ontario. This position supports the Optical department by assisting members with eyewear selection, handling transactions, and ensuring high standards of service and organization within the optical area.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Optical Student role at Costco involves providing excellent member service within the warehouse optical department. You will assist members in selecting frames and lenses, process purchases, and help with basic eyeglass preparation under supervision. This role also includes maintaining inventory, stocking merchandise, and ensuring the department remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist members in selecting eyeglass frames and lens options while delivering courteous and efficient service.
- Process orders and handle cash, debit, credit, and cheque transactions accurately according to company procedures.
- Support licensed opticians by preparing and adjusting eyeglasses using optical tools and equipment under supervision.
- Stock and organize optical merchandise and supplies, ensuring proper storage and inventory control.
- Maintain a clean department by performing cleaning, sanitizing, and general housekeeping duties.
- Follow established safety and security procedures at all times.
- Provide assistance in other areas of the warehouse when required.
