ABOUT THE JOB
The Tire Centre Sales Assistant plays a key role in delivering outstanding member service at Costco’s Tire Centre. This position involves assisting members with tire inquiries, preparing service documentation, coordinating appointments, and maintaining organized inventory displays. You will use effective sales techniques, provide knowledgeable recommendations, and ensure compliance with all safety and operational procedures. In locations offering propane services, certification may be required to support propane-related tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist members in selecting appropriate tires by answering questions and providing product recommendations.
- Create and process purchase and service invoices accurately.
- Schedule and manage tire installation appointments, including responding to phone and email inquiries.
- Handle payments, process credit/debit transactions, and issue receipts following proper procedures.
- Maintain organized sales floor displays and tire inventory according to merchandising standards.
- Coordinate with the Tire Centre team regarding special orders, availability, and delivery timelines.
- Support members during tire installation visits and assist with vehicle flow when required.
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines, including propane handling procedures where applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness of the Tire Centre area, including sweeping and general upkeep.
