Costco is hiring a Tire Installer in Vancouver, BC. This hands-on role supports the Tire Centre by providing efficient, safety-focused service—helping members with tire installation, rotations, balancing, and related maintenance while delivering a great customer experience.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Tire Installer at Costco, you will assist with tire services from start to finish, including vehicle intake, safe lifting procedures, wheel and tire work, and completing service documentation. You’ll also support members with tire-related questions, provide recommendations, and help keep the Tire Centre organized and running smoothly.
This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to following Costco safety procedures and applicable industry standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, rotate, and balance tires using appropriate equipment and safe work practices.
- Move member vehicles into service bays, use lifts/hoists correctly, and perform required vehicle checks.
- Remove wheels/tires, mount and inflate tires to proper pressure, and fill tires with nitrogen when required.
- Reset and relearn TPMS sensors as needed using approved tools and procedures.
- Apply correct wheel weights and verify balance for smooth and safe driving performance.
- Complete service documentation and create service and purchase invoices.
- Assist members by answering questions, providing tire recommendations, and offering clear service explanations.
- Tag, stock, and organize tires and related inventory to maintain an efficient Tire Centre workflow.
- Perform cleaning and housekeeping tasks to keep the work area safe and professional.
- Support scheduled appointments and help coordinate tire transfers and service readiness.
- Follow all safety and quality standards and assist in other warehouse areas as needed.
