ABOUT THE JOB
As a Registered Pharmacy Technician at Costco, you will work closely with the Pharmacist to support safe and efficient pharmacy operations. Responsibilities include preparing and processing prescriptions, maintaining patient records, handling transactions, and ensuring accurate inventory control. This position requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, and adherence to provincial pharmacy regulations and confidentiality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Pharmacist in preparing, packaging, and labeling prescriptions in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Retrieve, count, and organize medications, ensuring accuracy before final verification.
- Process cash register transactions and provide courteous service to patients at the pharmacy counter.
- Maintain and update patient profiles and prescription records using pharmacy systems.
- Order, receive, and stock prescription drugs, supplies, and over-the-counter products.
- Support inventory control, including monitoring stock levels and product rotation.
- Communicate with healthcare providers as required within scope of practice.
- Ensure compliance with privacy, safety, and security procedures.
- Assist with third-party billing and documentation tasks as needed.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy environment.
- Assist in other warehouse areas as necessary.
