ABOUT THE JOB
The Pharmacy Student works under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to assist with prescription preparation, medication distribution, and member service. This role supports daily pharmacy operations, including data entry, packaging, and inventory tasks, while ensuring compliance with provincial regulations and Costco pharmacy standards. Students may also assist with health promotion initiatives and medication review services as directed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with prescription data entry and order processing using pharmacy software systems.
- Prepare, package, and label prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
- Retrieve stock bottles and support medication dispensing procedures.
- Provide courteous and professional service at the pharmacy counter and over the phone.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all provincial pharmacy regulations.
- Support inventory management, stocking, and organization of pharmacy supplies.
- Assist with medication reviews and health promotion clinics as directed.
- Identify and refer clinical questions or concerns to the supervising pharmacist.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
- Provide assistance in other warehouse areas when required.
