Costco is hiring a Service Deli Clerk in Toronto, ON. This role supports the Service Deli by preparing, packaging, and labeling ready-to-serve foods while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and member service in a fast-paced environment.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Service Deli Clerk at Costco, you will help produce and present a variety of deli items such as meals, entrees, salads, party trays, and rotisserie products. You’ll be responsible for preparing ingredients, operating deli equipment, packaging finished items, and keeping the department clean and compliant with health standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and assemble deli products including meals, entrees, salads, party trays, and take-and-bake items.
- Slice and prep vegetables and ingredients for prepared foods and garnishes.
- Cook and prepare items such as rotisserie chicken, ribs, and other deli entrees following established procedures.
- Package, wrap, label, weigh, and seal products accurately using department equipment.
- Stock and rotate products in the display case, ensuring freshness and proper presentation.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards, including temperature controls, pull dates, and safe handling practices.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas, including sink systems and cleaning procedures.
- Remove waste properly and operate equipment such as trash compactors and cardboard balers when required.
- Complete production tracking tasks such as counts, documentation, and sanitation checklists.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service and assist the department as needed.
- Assist in other warehouse areas as necessary to support operations.
