ABOUT THE JOB
The Meat Cutter is responsible for preparing, cutting, trimming, and packaging fresh meat products according to Costco quality and safety standards. This role involves operating specialized equipment, maintaining sanitary work areas, and ensuring attractive product presentation in the meat department. You will work closely with team members to meet daily production goals while delivering excellent member service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cut, trim, and prepare raw meat products using saws, knives, grinders, slicers, and tenderizing equipment.
- Inspect and assemble sanitized equipment and maintain proper food safety standards.
- Stock and rotate product in display cases to ensure freshness and quality.
- Operate meat grinders and other machinery while performing routine safety checks.
- Package finished products and label them accurately for sale.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with receiving and rotating refrigerated stock.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas in accordance with health regulations and sanitation procedures.
- Provide friendly and professional member service.
- Support other warehouse areas as needed.
