Costco is hiring an Electronics/Majors Sales Assistant in Ottawa, ON. In this customer-facing role, you’ll support members on the sales floor by providing helpful guidance, demonstrating products, and keeping the electronics and major appliances area organized, stocked, and presentation-ready.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Electronics/Majors Sales Assistant supports day-to-day sales floor operations in departments such as electronics, major appliances, and other high-value merchandise areas. You’ll help members by answering questions, explaining product features, and assisting with loading items. You’ll also maintain strong merchandising standards by keeping displays clean, products faced and stocked, and signage accurate while following all safety and security procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide prompt, friendly member service by answering questions and explaining product features.
- Demonstrate merchandise and assist members with selecting products in electronics and majors areas.
- Help members with loading products into carts when needed.
- Maintain current product knowledge by reviewing product information, features, and specifications.
- Communicate with the Area Manager regarding inventory levels, pricing, delivery updates, and promotions.
- Follow merchandising standards by stocking shelves, facing product, and keeping displays organized.
- Set up, clean, and maintain product displays; collect and return stray items to proper locations.
- Support accurate operations by checking signage, pricing, and markings; assist with returns as required.
- Participate in department moves and stocking support, including coordinating with forklift drivers when needed.
- Maintain security standards by organizing security item lock-up areas and keeping the sales floor clean and safe.
- Assist in other warehouse departments as necessary.
