ABOUT THE JOB
As a General Merchandise Associate, you will provide friendly, helpful service to customers while keeping the general merchandise area organized and well-stocked. You’ll support daily store operations by maintaining product presentation, assisting with floor coverage, and following safety procedures. This position is a great fit for someone with strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to stay active throughout the shift.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver excellent customer service by greeting customers and helping them find products.
- Assist customers with product information, locating merchandise, and purchase decisions.
- Maintain assigned areas by zoning shelves and keeping displays presentable.
- Support stocking and replenishment, including moving items to their modular home.
- Complete merchandise recovery from service areas and other parts of the store.
- Help ensure strong floor coverage by communicating with other associates.
- Follow company procedures to maintain a safe environment, including safety sweep logs and ensuring fixtures are secure.
- Perform merchandise picks and support downstocking when required.
- Assist with setting and completing modulars, including flex modulars and shelf cap changes.
