Costco is hiring an Electronics Sales Assistant in Mississauga, Ontario. In this customer-facing role, you’ll support members in the electronics and major appliances areas by answering questions, demonstrating products, and keeping the department stocked, organized, and ready for daily sales.
ABOUT THE JOB
As an Electronics Sales Assistant, you will help members make confident purchase decisions by providing friendly service and clear product information. You’ll maintain strong knowledge of current technology and product features, ensure displays look great, and support daily merchandising activities across the department.
This position also involves following Costco’s merchandising standards, keeping products faced and replenished, assisting with returns and signage checks, and maintaining a clean and safe sales floor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver prompt, courteous member service by answering questions, demonstrating products, and explaining features.
- Assist members with loading products to carts when needed.
- Stay current on technology and product trends by reviewing product information and learning specifications.
- Communicate with the Area Manager regarding inventory levels, product status, pricing, deliveries, and promotions.
- Follow Costco merchandising standards by setting up, cleaning, and maintaining displays.
- Face and stock merchandise, return stray items, and help maintain strong product availability.
- Support member returns by checking items and helping ensure accurate product staging and marking.
- Help with signage by making signs and checking pricing accuracy.
- Participate in merchandising moves and coordinate stocking needs (including preparing item lists for warehouse support).
- Maintain the security lock-up area, clear debris, and keep the sales floor clean.
- Assist in other warehouse areas as required.
